If you’re visiting the city and have some free time, here are some activities you can do in Rotterdam.
We’ve provided directions on how to get to each attraction using public transportation from Rotterdam Central Train Station.
RIF010. Since the summer of 2024 Rotterdam has a new hotspot offering wave surfing, scuba diving, and canoeing in a canal near the Markthal. The water sports area, will feature waves up to one and a half meters high and offers diving lessons and a beach house.

Dok99. It’s a great bowling alley with twelve bowling lanes and a restaurant. It’s located in the northern part of the city.

TRAM10. You can explore the past and present of Rotterdam on a tram from the 1930s. The tram takes you to the skyscraper area, city center, historical sites, and tourist attractions. Tram 10 operates from late April to late October, on Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays.

Pool Centrum Blaak. It’s a spacious venue with 10 Gabriels billiard tables, 2 snooker tables, dartboards, and an air hockey table.

Poolcafé Delfshaven. Located in the bar and restaurant district of Delfshaven, Poolcafé Delfshaven has 11 nine-foot Buffalo Pro billiard tables and dartboards.

Spido. Take a 75-minute boat trip along the Meuse River on one of their modern boats and see Rotterdam from a different perspective. Spido also offers full-day cruises to the new harbor extensions. During the summer months, you can take cruises to Botlek, the flood barrier, and the Delta Works.

Hot Tug. Enjoy a unique experience of sailing through Rotterdam’s canals in a wooden boat with an onboard jacuzzi powered by electricity.

Skate Fever. It’s an indoor facility where you can skate during the week. On Fridays and Saturdays from 7:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., there’s a roller disco with DJs for adults. Skates are available for rent.

Fun Forest Rotterdam. This organization offers various outdoor activities. You can walk among the trees on elevated circuits at different heights.
They also have different levels of rope courses, swings, and climbing nets. You can also try kayaking and paddleboarding on the nearby lake.

Outdoor Valley. This is a company that specializes in nature sports in the beautiful Hoge Bergse Bos area, which is filled with numerous lakes.
You can rent canoes, kayaks, paddleboards, and mountain bikes, among other things. Additionally, you have the option to enjoy activities like rock climbing, archery, bridge building, or engaging in a thrilling game of paintball.

Splashtours. They offer a unique experience with their amphibious bus, which takes you on an exciting one-hour journey through the streets of Rotterdam and then sails along the scenic Meuse River.

Kijk Kubus Museum. This museum opens the doors to one of its cube-shaped houses, providing a glimpse into the unique living experience within.

Blijdorp Zoo. Popular destination boasting a massive aquarium, over 180 animal species, a tropical butterfly pavilion, and various restaurants. It attracts more than 1.5 million visitors annually.

Euromast. For those who enjoy heights and adventure, Euromast offers the chance to rappel down from a thrilling height of 100 meters. This opportunity is available from May to September.

Schaatsbaan Rotterdam. During the winter months, Schaatsbaan Rotterdam prepares a vast ice-skating surface for enthusiasts. They also provide skate rentals.

RIB Experience Rotterdam. Offers a variety of thrilling water activities, including high-speed boat rides on the Maas River, reaching speeds of 90 km per hour.

Remastered. Interactive audiovisual space that showcases surreal animations and ancient works of art by Dutch painters. It’s a unique experience that we highly recommend visiting.

Feyenoord Museum. Football enthusiasts should not miss the Feyenoord Museum, where you can explore the stadium, including the bench, locker rooms, and trophy room. It is necessary to make reservations in advance.

Lasergame. A dark area of 300 m² where you can engage in laser gun games aboard a boat docked near the Euromast. Children love it, and parents even more.
